Based on numerous comments and complaints received from the membership regarding the ground conditions in the Thorsby arena, Sheldon Greanya has been in discussions with the executive of the Thorsby Ag Society.
The Ag Society has undertaken to improve these conditions by adding a truck load of shavings to the dirt. This was done before the Thorsby Rodeo which was held the weekend of May 22nd , and Sheldon indicated that the ground held up well.
Based on our review of the ground conditions on Friday, June 4th, and throughout the weekend we are at liberty to add more shavings as conditions may warrant. Thorsby plans to bring a sand mix in and replace the top 4 to 6 inches of dirt and told Sheldon this would be complete for our July shows.
